The Oaks at Garfield was founded in 2017 with a single, deeply held conviction: that seniors deserve more than institutional care. They deserve a real home — a place where they are truly known, genuinely respected, and cared for as the individuals they are.
From our earliest days, we set out to build something different — a small, intimate community where the caregiver-to-resident ratio stays low by design, not by accident. That closeness means our team learns every resident's routines, preferences, and life history. There are no strangers here.
Over the years we have grown into a trusted resource for families across Carmichael, Sacramento, Fair Oaks, and Citrus Heights — earning our reputation one family at a time through consistent, compassionate, and personalized care.
Today, The Oaks at Garfield remains a licensed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE), regulated by the California Department of Social Services — and rooted in the same founding belief we started with in 2017.
